Pouncity is one living diary for your pet. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it plain, because your pet's data should not need a lawyer to read.

Pilot notice. Pouncity is an early pilot. We collect only what the product needs to work, and we do not sell your data or your pet's data to anyone.

Who we are

Pouncity ("we", "us") provides the Pouncity pet-care diary. For any privacy question, or to ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, email supportpouncity@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account details. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google to create your account. We never receive your Google password. On your profile you can also add a phone number and an emergency contact number; both are optional and stored with your account.
Pet profile. What you add about your pet: name, species, breed, age, weight, a photo, quirks, and vet contact details.
Care activity. Feeding taps (who fed the pet and when), and the diet and grooming plans generated for your pet.
Sharing. When you create a handover link, the caregiver you invite and the fact that they joined.
Reminders. If you turn reminders on, a browser push subscription so we can send the notification you asked for.
Product analytics. A small set of events (for example, that a diet plan was generated or a feeding was logged) so we can learn what helps during the pilot. These are tied to your account only so we can avoid double counting.
Technical basics. Standard server logs and a session cookie that keeps you signed in.

How we use it

To run the diary: store your pet's profile, feeding history, and plans, and show them to you and to caregivers you invite.
To generate diet and grooming guidance tuned to your pet's breed, age, and weight.
To send the daily reminder, but only if you turned it on.
To understand, in aggregate, whether the pilot is working, so we can improve it.

Who we share it with

We share your pet's diary only with the caregivers you choose, through a handover link you create and can revoke at any time. A caregiver you invite also sees your name and, if you have added them on your profile, your phone number and emergency contact number, so they can reach you while looking after your pet. Beyond that, we rely on a small set of service providers that process data on our behalf:

Google for sign-in.
Supabase for our database, authentication, and file storage.
Groq to generate diet and grooming guidance from the pet details you provide.
Vercel for hosting and delivery.
A web push service (your browser's) to deliver reminders you opted into.

These providers may process data on servers outside your country. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Not veterinary advice. Diet and grooming plans are general guidance based on the details you enter, not a diagnosis or a prescription diet. Always check with your vet, especially if your pet has a health condition.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your pet's profile at any time inside the app.
You can turn reminders off at any time, which removes your push subscription.
You can revoke a caregiver's access by turning off the handover link.
You can remove your pet's diary yourself from your profile, which permanently deletes the diary and everything in it.
You can ask us to export or delete your account and its data by emailing supportpouncity@gmail.com.

Storage, retention, and security

Your data is stored with our providers above and protected by row-level security, so each person can reach only the diaries they own or have been invited to. Data is encrypted in transit. We keep your data while your account is active, and delete it within a reasonable period after you ask us to close the account.

Children

Pouncity is meant for adults caring for pets and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product grows. If we make a meaningful change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
